TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION

• The AgroWeb network has already developed a community of agricultural information professionals;
• This community has been working on uptake of information guidelines, methods and tools, many of them in the WAICENT Framework and the AGRIS new strategy;
• The first IMARK module has been rolled out across the region and plans exist to be adapt the module into Russian;

• A new proposal has been developed jointly between GFAR and FAO to support development of agricultural information systems for research and development, which includes development of the AGRIS network and uptake of IMARK;
• It is now proposed to develop further the real community of practice in the AgroWeb Network in virtual environment in the context of IMARK online community creating virtual workspace for the network members where they can discuss common issues. This would be facilitated and developed by key individuals from the network;
